How do I apply?

How do I know whether a position is still vacant?

All the job listings you see online are still vacant.

What documents do I need to include with my application?

A complete application includes your statement of motivation, a CV in tabular form, and all relevant certificates. e.g. for A-levels (Abitur, International Baccalaureate). This saves us from having to request them after the fact, which unnecessarily delays the process.

Where can I upload my cover[ing] letter?

A traditional cover[ing] letter is not necessary. Instead, a ‘Motivation’ text field is provided, where you can describe in a maximum of 1,000 characters why you are interested in the position in question and in Tchibo as an employer, and what specifically makes you suited for it. If you would still like to include a cover[ing] letter, please feel free to attach it to your CV.

What size should my application documents be?

Your application documents should not exceed 10 MB, so please ensure that you keep them under this limit and group your certificates into one document if necessary. It is best to save your documents in the PDF format. If your document exceeds 10 MB, we kindly request that you reduce the file size accordingly.

Can I apply for several jobs at the same time, or will this create a bad impression?

You are very welcome to simultaneously apply for several positions. This does not put you at any disadvantage.

Is there the possibility of completing a thesis in cooperation with Tchibo?

If you have completed an internship lasting at least three months beforehand, and have convinced us of your merits, we offer you the chance of using content from your experience at Tchibo to complete your diploma, Bachelor's or Master thesis. The decision on whether and how you do this is then made in dialogue with the responsible department, which will review your desired subject and give you the ‘green light’ following a needs assessment and a capacity check.

Can I send Tchibo an unsolicited application?

No, at this time we are not considering any unsolicited or speculative applications. Please do register for the Job-Newsletter, however, which will keep you up date about the vacancies that are relevant for you.
